 hen Xiaotong(1968, Sichuan) graduated from the Painting Department of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. Then he started to take up painting as a career. Although his work has undergone a number of changes, the artist has always maintained an acute flatness of perspective to describe the mundanity of everyday life which has become a signature of his style. The recent works of Shen Xiaotong emphasize the complexity, despondency and absent-mindedness.
He currently lives and works in Chengdu. |
